Gabe and his firemans hat

Gabe is so funny with this hat! He puts in on by himself and has a blast wearing it!

Later he decided to wear my apron around his neck like a cape. What a cute little super hero!

Rangers vs. Mariners game

On September 1st we went to a game at Rangers stadium. Since they were playing the Mariners, Michael was ready and wearing his Mariners jersey. Surrounded by Rangers fans, I was expecting to have food thrown at us. It was really funny to have Michael cheering loudly for the Mariners while everyone around us was silent. Thankfully no food was thrown. Everyone was really nice and we had a great night. Someone even gave Gabe a practice ball, which he loved playing with.

Gabe's 1st Birthday

We had Gabe's 1st birthday party on Aug. 23rd (his birthday was actually the 22nd). We had lots of fun. Here are a few pictures from the day.

The O'Briens are moving today

Well, the day has finally come. My best friend is moving today. I cried to the point of nausea last night after we finished packing the u-haul. I am excited for their family though. It is a great opportunity for them. Michael and I have already looked at plane tickets to San Francisco, so hopefully before too long we can save up enough to go visit. I really don't like transition and change, so this is a rough week for me. Not only did Brooke move, but this is also our last assembly at Redeemed Community. We will now be attending City Church International. Though it is going to be a bit of a transition, I am still excited to serve God there. The people that we have met there are awesome. Oh, another transition-Michael got laid off a few weeks back. Since then he has been doing valet. He also applied for another job yesterday. So, change and transition seem to be the theme of our lives at the moment. No wonder I feel so tired.

Gabe is walking!!!

Gabe is 10 1/2 months old and has recently started to walk. He is learning so much. He also tries to clap now, which is really cute. Here is a video from last week so you can check out how much he is growing. Enjoy. Oh, and if you've ever watched the Muppet Babies, you may remember the lady that you never saw the top half of her body. You may notice some resemblance between her and myself in this video. Obviously I don't have any cool striped socks yet though! Darn.

Look! I blogged!!!

Well, I am new to blogging, so I am not quite sure what I am doing yet. I told Deanna I would try to load some recent pictures on here.

My Family

This one is from yesterday. We went to Addison, TX to see fireworks. We got there a few hours early to get a good spot. After all the waiting, Gabe slept through most of the fireworks anyway!

Gabe

Gabe splish splashing. He loves going to the pool.

Doesn't he look cool!!!
So, there. Yay! I blogged. I am quite impressed now. Happy 4th of July to anyone who reads this!
